The Federal Government has declared Thursday 1st October, 2015 as a public holiday to mark the nation's 55th Independence Day celebration.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Abubakar Magaji, made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement signed by the ministry’s Director of Press, Yusuf Isiaka.

President Buhari has approved N70 Million budget for this year's celebration.
