Psquare is arguably Africa’s biggest, most successful and probably the most loved group.
They can sing, dance and deliver mind blowing performances that can be matched by their peers.
However, they aren’t perfect, and here a few things we feel that they could improve on.
1. Collaborate more with fellow artistes
For some reason, Psquare remains the only group with the least number of collaborations. Hopefully, that may be about to change, owing to the success of the Don Jazzy featured Collabo. Perhaps, this would encourage Psquare to work more with their colleagues in the music industry.
2. Peter should rant less
We think his PR team need to curtail this. When you’re at the peak of your career and a well-known public figure, you just don’t go on social media and rant unguardedly. If it becomes entirely necessary to rant, Peter could always give a comprehensive critique or make a well calculated logical comment. That can’t be too hard?
3. Jude Okoye should embrace the media; we don’t bite
Someone should tell Jude ‘Engees’ Okoye, to stop living in denial and accept the fact that Psquare’s rise to fame was assisted by the media- the people who make sure they remain in the news. This relationship is a two-way affair, Mr Jude!
4. Psquare should re-brand
Anyone would agree that after 17 years in the industry, it would be nice if Psqaure can evolve with the times. Yes, they do that musically, but it terms of appearance they should re-brand. Peter Okoye! No one wears do-rag in 2015… except you, maybe.
5. Do more artistic videos
Psquare has the financial war chest (if we must say so) to go beyond the norm of Nigerian music videos, beyond the champagne bottles and wickedly endowed video vixens to something more artistic, something different. Surely, if anyone can blaze this trail, it’s Psquare.
Class dismissed… any questions?
