Media mogul Raymond Dokpesi who some months ago handed the chairmanship of Daar Communications to his son has been granted bail in the sum of N200 million and two sureties in like sum by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
The presiding judge, Justice Gabriel Kolawole ruled on Dokpesi's bail application this morning. He is however to be remanded at the Kuje prison pending the fulfillment of his bail condition.
Dokpesi was arrested on December 1st for receiving N2.1 billion from former NSA Sambo Dasuki for PDP's presidential media campaign. The money was allegedly disbursed from the $2.1 billion earmarked for the procurement of arms.
