He said “the former senator does not represent any hope of the emancipation for the idoma race as he claimed during his visit to the Ochi Idoma where he went to extend his grip on the future and hope of many sons and daughters of Idoma land that have suffered modern day slavery under his watch”.
Condemning Senator Mark’s visit and alleged endorsement by the Paramount Ruler of Idoma land, he said the visit of the later to the palace is an indication that he is ready to dance naked on the street to be re-elected, even after ignoring every courtesy befitting the same Ochi Idoma during his 16 years at the Senate.

Ogenyi, expressed surprise at what he termed the sudden concern form the Idoma nation, saying it is ridiculous that our emperor has suddenly woken from his slumber to understand that there is an Idoma race and not just the David Mark family in Benue state.
