‘Dogara Mirepresented The Facts’ – Hon Jibrin, Former House Chair On Appropriations Speaks On His Sack
Honourable Abdulmumini Jibrin, the former Chairman of the House of Representative Committee on Appropriations, is ‘clearing the air’ on the controversies surrounding his abrupt dismissal.
Hon Jibrin was chair of the committee during the scandalous budgetary padding that resulted in an executive-legislature faceoff and slowed the passage of the 2016 budget early this year.
Following the announcement of his dismissal by Speaker Yakubu Dogara on Wednesday and replacement by Hon Dawaki Mustapha, the Kano State-born politician has fired back at his colleagues, claiming he’s being witch-hunted by the House hierarchy.
In a tweetstorm on Thursday evening via his handle @AbdulAbmj, Hon Jibrin accused Speaker Dogara of misrepresentation of facts, falsehood, bias and mischief.
The 39-year-old said he’s being hounded because he openly disagreed with some lawmakers over the issue of immunity and his refusal to cover-up their unilateral allocation of N40bn out of the N100bn allocated to the entire NASS.
The businessman and former lecturer also asserted that his inability to admit into the 2016 budget a unspecified N30bn personal request by the Speaker and three other principal officers has since been an issue.
He ended by saying the clarification became necessary as he would not allow anybody, no matter how highly-placed to destroy his life and political career.

Meanwhile, the official handle of the Speaker (@SpeakerDogara) has yet to respond to the damning claims.
