YEN Benue Host Its First Fashion And Award Night In A Grand Style (Photos)

The first ever YEN-Benue Fashion and Awards Night took place at Lush Events Center Makurdi, Benue state. YEN Fashion and awards night was born out of the desire to showcase the rich fashion we have in Benue state and to reward those that have contributed immensely to the growth of the Benue youths in one way or the other.

The red carpet started at exactly 5pm while the main event was schduled to start at 6pm but was delayed until 7:38pm when the national anthem was sang followed with prayers to declare the event open.

Below is the list of the awardees last night....

1st Award: Sewuese Imande - Agro-Premium Award for Entrepreneurship skills and development.

2nd Award: Awa Agber - Awarded for Youth Impact and Development, her unprecedented development in the makeup and makeover business.

3rd Award: Dr. (Mrs.) Eunice Ortom - Hope for the Benue Youth Award, through her Eunice Spring of Life Foundation.

4th Award: Mr. Steve Ayua - Media Icon Award for his commitment to the development and enhancement of the broadcast media.

5th Award: Oriflame Sweden Nig Ltd - Self Empowerment Award for helping over 150,000 Nigerians fulfill their dream and over a thousand helped to travel abroad.

6th Award: Hon. Dickson Tarkighir - YEN Benue Pioneer Support Award, for being the first public person to lend a hand of support to YEN-Benue and for being an astute supporter of youth programmes.

7th Award: Arc. Asema Achado - YEN Award for Community Development, for giving so much to the Development of Aliade and the entire Gwer Local Government as well as contributing so much into philanthropy.

8th Award: Dr. Sam Inalegwu Abah - Youth Impact and Motivation Award, for determination to succeed despite confrontations of life.


9th Award: Mr. Andrew Ayabam - Benue Youth Pillar Award, for muti-dimensional approach in employment and support of the teeming Benue youth.

10th Award: Engr. Paul Terwase Agbem - YEN Achievement Award, for becoming an employer of massive labour in his twenties and for his commitment to become a force to reckon in the near future. He is the Chairman of TAP Group.

11th Award: Mr. Paul Tavershima Apel - YEN Professional Award, for his robust activism in the production of movies and for his commitment to home development.

12th Award: Mrs. Ufator Tsua - YEN Award for Business Consistency, for her ability to stand a test of time in a single line of business.

Speaking shortly after receving her award, the wife of the Benue state governor, Dr (Mrs) Eunice Ortom expressed excitement to God for the direction the youth were taking. To her, she saw a lot of positive risk takers in the youths who were making the state proud. She expressed that, though she was not an award-seeking person, she was encouraged by the fact that, it was an occasion from the young. She pledged in determination to invest in the future of the Benue child.

The event was anchored by Henry Ipole of Radio Benue with music performance by Floxxy, and other Benue upcoming acts while comedy was by MC Fresh Boy.
