Ooni of Ife, Gov. Abubakar, Tinubu, Akume Dr. Asemakaha & Other Stakeholders Attended YES2017 Grand Finale, Laud’s YEN Initiative At YES2017, Abuja





His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife, H.E Mohammed Abubakar, Sen. George Akume, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, Richards Daniel and other top captains of industries and government functionaries attended YES2017 Grand Finale in Abuja and has commended the YEN initiative at the just concluded Youth Empowerment Summit Grand Finale, YES2017 Abuja hosted by Young Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (YEN) in collaboration with His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife to empower and encourage youth entrepreneurship across the six geo-political zones of Nigeria held 9th December 2017 at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.
The event was attended by over 1000 youths entrepreneurs, top government functionaries and captains of industries across the country where the challenges and solutions to youth entrepreneurship development was discussed in line with the organization vision in empowering youth entrepreneurs with finance, capacity building, network, business tools and also champion the cause of young entrepreneurs at local, regional and national levels to curb unemployment amongst youths in Nigeria and enhance national productivity.


Speaking at the Summit, Chris Kohol the National President of Young Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (YEN) stated that the core objective for the summit was to empower youths with entrepreneurial capacity and technology and also encourage entrepreneurship as a tool for sustainable development.

While thanking delegates, Special Guests and Speakers for their active participation during theYES2017 Grand finale, Kohol added that it is the hope that each of us will work together for the promotion of entrepreneurship as we continue to impact positively on our nation's economic fortune as youth entrepreneurship development is the only key to our nation’s unemployment crises.



Similarly speaking, Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar Abdullahi who was a Keynote Speaker/honouree represented by His Deputy Nuhu Gidado at the event applauded the efforts of Young Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (YEN) on it conscious effort to help grow and support aspiring young entrepreneurs in the Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector in Nigeria. He also added that the effort of YEN to compliments the government efforts towards youth empowerment, poverty alleviation and wealth creation cannot be overemphasized.

He said, “I am informed that the various support to be enjoyed by young entrepreneurs under this initiative include free business funding, capacity building, networking opportunities, free business websites and hosting services among others”. The Governor further urged corporate bodies and individuals to compliment the Government efforts towards youth empowerment, poverty alleviation and job creation.

Apart from the Bauchi State Governor, H.E Mohammed Abubakar Abdullahi, other Speakers at the event include, , Dr Raymond Asemakaha, Operation Analyst Abuja, Ebuka Anichebe, Business Strategist; Love Idoko, Host, Activating Success; Dr. Nnaemeka Obiaraeri, MD, Taurus Capital & Advisory Services; Hon. Faith Pukuma, Isaac Balami, Alhaji Ahmed Ojikutu, President, CAPDAN (Computer Village) amongst others.

The activities of the YES2017 Grand Finale started with a Summit and ended with a Dinner & Recognition ceremony. The Grand Finale was well attended by top captains of industries, policies makers, business leaders, political leaders, youth entrepreneurs amongst others.
