Wanted former pension boss Abdulrasheed Maina has charged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and its boss Ibrahim Magu to court, Daily Trust reports.
Maina is reportedly suing Magu and the EFCC over claims of defamation.James Onyilo, Maina’s lawyer, in a writ of summons reportedly asked the court to declare Magu’s interviews on November 30 and December 14, 2017, as defamatory to his character.
He’s reportedly asking that the court rules that the comments made in the interview were intended to lower the reputation and to publicly ridicule his client.
The wanted former pension boss is reportedly asking that he be paid by Magu and EFCC ₦10 billion for damages, and that they publish an apology in at least 3 daily newspapers.
