Sad News: Ten People Burn To Death In Enugu Car Accident





No fewer than ten people reportedly burnt to death in an inferno resulting from a fatal car accident yesterday afternoon along the Obollo-Afor- 9th Mile Express Way in Enugu State.

The ghastly motor accident involved two buses coming in opposite directions. Eye witnesses disclosed that other road users watched helplessly while the inferno trapped the victims inside the vehicles.


“There was nothing we could do but cry because the fire was indeed so much, it was difficult to quench it”, a witness said.

The police spokesman in Enugu State, Ebere Amaraizu , DSP, who confirmed the incident said it “involved a mass transit company vehicle with registration number AKL 323 XA coming from Enugu,
with another bus with registration Number NNE 605 XA coming from Markudi axis.

“It claimed no fewer than ten lives.
“The vehicles had a head-on-collision around Opi/ Eha-Alumona-Obollo-Afor Road, which caused explosion, and the vehicles were engulfed by fire.”
