The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman Prof. Attahiru Jega briefed newsmen yesterday after their meeting.
Jega said the election has been postponed by 6 weeks, he said the decision was made after consulting with notably political parties, security agencies, civil society and the media.
The INEC chairman blamed the postponement on lack of security and collection of PVC, He said only 66% out of the 96% PVC's has been collected
The presidential election will now hold on March 28th while Governorship election will now hold on April 11th.
