Ubah had issued a statement on Sunday, May 24, 2015, saying that he was pulling out of the marketers strike due to the hardship it was causing Nigerians and had instructed his trucks to deliver around the country.

His account was confirmed by another user, @dudestillwaters, who said that a Capital Oil station had sold fuel for 6 hours at the official price.“They just stopped selling... Sold #PMS for about 6 hours at #87,” he tweeted.

Ubah also called on other marketers to follow suit and supply product to end the scarcity.Meanwhile, businesses around the country are warning of an impending shut down due to the lack of fuel.
Some of the organizations involved include telecommunications companies, MTN and Airtel and Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB).
