The Nigerian Broadcasting Commission blacklisted some popular Nigerian songs and videos for containing vulgar lyrics and having obscene videos on August 18, 2015.
In a memo sent to media outlets, a NTTB (not to be broadcast) label was placed on 18 songs which included Naeto C’s Tony Montana where he featured D’banj.
Some of the banned songs include Olamide’s monster hit, ‘Bobo’, Davido’s ‘Fans Mi’ where he collaborated with US rapper, Meek Mill, Phyno’s Yayo, Lil Kesh’s Gbese, Ibadi by May D, Iyanya’s Gift featuring Don Jazzy, and Nicki Minaj’s Anaconda.
Few minutes ago, the rapper, Naeto C took to social media to subtly reply to NBC’s ban placed on the song.
He shared the an image from the video which contained instructions that the “video is a work of fiction created for viewing pleasure and in no way promotes violence or the use of firearms.”
