Former Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam today failed to honour the invitation to appear before the judicial commission of inquiry.
The Chairman of the commission, Justice Elizabeth Kpojime, had through a newspaper advertorial, summoned Suswam to appear before it today being Wednesday, 9th December 2015 to give explanation to about 33 issues of financial misappropriation recorded during his tenure as Governor.
In a letter sent to the commission through his counsel , Mr Joseph Dauda SAN, the former governor explained that he would not honour the invitation now or in the future.
He begged to be allowed to concentrate on his fraud and money laundering case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC which is before the federal high court in Abuja.
The former Governor therefore urged the commission to proceed with their inquiry without his testimony as he was at liberty to attend or not
