A few days after he was granted N400m bail, Justice Bello,ordered Olisa Metuh to be remanded in Kuje prison custody.
The PDP National Publicity Secretary who was arraigned yesterday for allegedly destroying EFCC evidence by tearing his written statement on Jan. 14th,pleaded not guilty. The bail hearing has been fixed for January 25, 2016.
Shortly after Metuh pleaded not guilty,Metuh’s lawyer Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN) prayed the court to grant the accused bail, taking into consideration the punishment, which does not exceed two years.
Metuh is being held at the Kuje prison, Abuja, following his arraignment at the Federal High Court, Abuja, on a seven-count of money laundering.
He was accused of receiving N400 million from the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki and allegedly making doubtful investment of $2 million.
