Secretary to the government of the federation, Engr. Babachir David Lawal has revealed why members of the the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not be probed by the Muhammadu Buhari administration. Lawal made this known in an interview session with VANGUARD. NAIJALOADED brings you 6 points he made that should interest you.
1. He says in his view, the preponderance of corrupt people would be in the PDP because they were in government for 16 years and they were the only ones enjoying the booty, and they were doing it in a flagrant manner.
2.That politicians outside the PDP were left out of everything including contracts.
3.He said they were the ones the president was approving money for sharing; they were the ones that took government money to fund their election.
4.That the APC had no access to government money to fund the president’s election.
5.That the PDP lost credibility in the eyes of Nigerians and started spending Nigeria’s money to buy their way back into their hearts. He said for instance, the $100million that was borrowed from the international market to fund the war on Boko Haram and was simply shared among PDP members.
6.He says even if they had corrupt men in the APC, they did not have the opportunity to steal because PDP shared the money alone.
He noted that the EFCC is only making arrests based on investigations they have made. Adding that looters will return our money by the time the APC led government finishes digging their soak-aways and bringing down their (overhead) tanks.
