Lagos State Government Reaffirms Commitment To Tackle Security Issues





The Lagos state government has reaffirmed its commitment to tackle all security related challenges that the state and its residents are faced with. This assurance was made after an emergency security meeting which was held at the Government House at Alausa, Ikeja this evening with security chiefs.


While addressing members of the press after the meeting, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni said that the meeting addressed all the security issues confronting the state at the moment. He expressed that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is very much concerned about the security challenges facing the state. The CP said, “Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is bothered, all security authorities are bothered, all of us are bothered. The government is doing everything possible to bring a stop to all security challenges.”


Reacting to the kidnapped Monarch’s issue, Mr. Fatai Owoseni noted that all security agencies are doing their very best to ensure that the paramount chief regains his freedom from the hands of the kidnappers.


Mr. Fatai Owoseni noted that people who perpetrate such evil acts should desist from them. He said, 

“Youths who embark on such social vices should turn a new leaf and use of the opportunities the Lagos State Government has made available”.
