According to Reuters, residents indicated that the shooting begun at about 6:20 am local time. One witness is said to have told the local ABC13 channel that he heard about 100 “steady gunshots” being fired.
Six people were taken to hospital following the incident, representatives from the local fire department confirmed.
Media also report there may be others who suffered light injuries from broken glass or other factors.

The Houston shooting comes a day after 9 people were shot dead in Illinois which tragically was preceded by another shooting in Washington a day before. The Washington incident claimed at least 4 lives.
The series of shooting incidents remain a source of concern for many, as it has little to do with race or other preferences. Equally worrying is the rising number of police killings which majorly affects African-Americans. In the last two weeks, up to six of such incidents have been reported, often involving unarmed victims.
