The Family of Former Vice President, Alex Ekwueme, have denied claims
that he has died. Earlier today, social media was agog with rumors of
his death.
The younger brother of the former Vice President and the traditional ruler of Oko community in Orumba North Local Government of Anambra, Laz Ekwueme, confirmed to newsmen that the 85-year-old politician is alive, stable and responding to treatment at the Memfys Neuro-surgical Hospital in Enugu.
The former Vice President was last week admitted to the hospital for a chest infection.
President Buhari has ordered that he be flown abroad for treatment once his health condition is stabilized.
