Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello Sacks All His Commissioners, Reinstates Them Within An Hour

There was a mild drama in Kogi state yesterday March 11th. The state governor, Yahaya Bello, had announced the sacking of all the 15 commissioners in his administration and the 21 chairpersons of the local councils in the state.
Just as the residents of the state were adjusting to the news, another announcement was made stating that the commissioners and local council chairpersons have been reinstated.

According to close sources to the governor, the state government had initially released the statement announcing the sack of the commissioners just to see how they will react if they receive such news and also to test their loyalty.

No statement has been released from the governor's office explaining what really happened.

Last week, the senate had accused the governor of importing arms and ammunitions ahead of the 2019 general election.
