The Irede foundation is a non – governmental organization focused on encouraging children living with limb loss (whether acquired or congenital) to live a life of fulfilment.
They have a mission to see every child amputee become a champion; living without the limitations of missing limbs, and are committed to providing encouragement and empowerment to children living with congenital and acquired limb loss so they can confidently live a self-sufficient and fulfilled life; free of limitations and societal stigmatization.
On the first of May 2015, the Irede foundation alongside celebrities and media personalities, will be going on a walk to raise awareness and bring the attention of society to the challenges faced by children living with limb loss and the need to appropriately care for them.
Venue is the YMCA Building 77A Awolowo road Ikoyi and kick off time is 7am.
