The Irede foundation is a non – governmental organization focused on encouraging children living with limb loss (whether acquired or congenital) to live a life of fulfilment.
They have a mission to see every child amputee become a champion; living without the limitations of missing limbs, and are committed to providing encouragement and empowerment to children living with congenital and acquired limb loss so they can confidently live a self-sufficient and fulfilled life; free of limitations and societal stigmatization. On the first of May 2015, the Irede foundation alongside celebrities and media personalities, will be going on a walk to raise awareness and bring the attention of society to the challenges faced by children living with limb loss and the need to appropriately care for them.
