Benue’s leading news website, BENUE.COM.NG has launched a newspaper called "Benue News".
The newspaper which will be published twice every month, will make its debut tomorrow ( Friday , 3 July 2015) on news stands in Makurdi, Gboko and Otukpo with plans to cover other areas of the state with time.
Speaking on the development, the head of marketing, Martins Wanger said it had become necessary to venture into more "traditional" journalism in order to cover readers who don't have internet access or those who just love to read print newspapers.
"It's been a good but challenging time for us. Benue.com.ng have also grown a lot, in fact, we get not less than 30,000 page views everyday and the response has been encouraging."
"That is why we want to make this wonderful work available to other Benue people who are not online." He said.
When asked about what to expect from the newspaper, Mr Wanger said,
"Benue people should expect a very exciting newspaper with news and opinions on happenings in and around Benue state. It will be interesting."
He added that "Benue News" will now replace "Benue Trends" an earlier publication of Benue.com.ng.
