The Governor congratulated Dr. Benjamin Teryima Ashaver, Mr. Richard Gbaden, and Mr. Matthew Tyokuma Mnyam on their appointment as Special Advisers.
"These appointments have followed elaborate consultations with various stakeholders and are based on the conviction that all the appointees have the capacity to add value on service delivery by our administration," he stated.
According to the Governor, the current challenges include the imperative to boost internally generated revenue to meet obligations as well as enhancing the capacity to respond effectively to renewed threats to the existence of the people in the Benue Valley.
"No one under my administration should dare to convert funds meant for the execution of projects for service delivery and the peoples welfare into private pockets," he stressed adding that "we shall not hesitate to use the big stick against such conduct."
"We must be conscious that by probing the previous administration today, ours shall surely be probed tomorrow."
In his response on behalf of his colleagues, Dr Ashaver pledged not to disappoint the Ortom administration and the people of the state.
He was assigned Revenue while Mr Gbaden was given Research and Documentation, with Mr Mnyam given the Education portfolio.
If you recall, Dr. Benjamin Ashaver served as a commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources during Suswam's tenure and was later made the commissioner of Education.
